We are home for the holidays this year, spending some time out and about exploring our city's festive and imaginative decorations. New York City is always full of surprises, but in the midst of the overwhelming distractions it can be easy to miss these gems like stumbling upon Alexander Hamilton's grave and Freedom Tower on our way to visit a friend and take in the lights in Brookfield Mall in Lower Manhattan. We stood still in the city for a few moments to capture some of its delight and we hope you will too!

There's something about the air and light of spring weather on a December day…

The iconic 5th avenue snowflake is always a favorite, designed by the ingenious Ingo Maurer, and this year the backdrop added extra dazzle. In midtown and the Upper East Side see Tiffany & Co., Ingo Maurer's Star, the Christmas tree by the Bloomberg building, Tory Burch windows, the ice sculpture light show in Barney's windows, Fendi windows, pop into Versace and peek down 64th street to the green-lit Arsenal in Central Park. Finally, walk over to a private townhouse on 63rd between Lexington and 3rd Avenues.  This little treasure in the big city is decked out [;)] for the holidays!

A little further uptown at the New York Botanical Gardens is the yearly train show- as beautiful as ever.
