If you've had a chance to look at my section on scale, you will remember the importance of eye circulation in the home. Rhythm and Harmony should be achieved while still keeping the eye interested. I also speak about the good and the not so good renovations I have witnessed over the years. 

Just coming back from Washington, DC I was happy to reflect that home owners of the beautiful Georgetown district were more careful to keep the original details than their NYC counterparts. Could this be their Southern pride at work? 

Here’s a peek inside and out of an historic home, Old Stone House, that dates back to early colonial times (circa 1765) sitting on the main drag of bustling downtown Georgetown.
